PART-TIME DIRECT SUPPORT STAFF WANTED! $25/hr (once fully trained)

This is for a 28-year-old man with autism in a home-based program in Hatfield, MA.

**Autism experience a plus but not required. We will provide proper training!**

This is NOT a PCA position, though there are some tasks that are personal care related. Individual must be dependable, personable, and ready to build a positive friendship with this young man.

We are looking to hire two individuals looking to work 22-28 hours/week. Schedule TBD but somewhat flexible.

Duties to include (ALL PROPER TRAINING PROVIDED):

-Recreational activities such as biking, kayaking, skateboarding, scootering, bowling, ping-pong, basketball, etc.

(you do not have to know how to do all these activities, these are just examples)

-Assistance with pedal-driven recycling program

-Community outings

-Be willing to adapt to this role, including using iPad programs for communication

-Implement some academic programs such as a reading program, typing program, etc.

-Provide support with personal hygiene tasks & sensory integration practices

-Proactive assisting with behavioral interventions, both physical and non

**Applicants MUST NOT smoke and must use fragrance-free products or be willing to convert to fragrance-free products. You also must have a license and reliable form of transportation to get to and from work**
