Palmeri Electric is expanding and now hiring an Electrical Estimator.

The Estimator will work with an experienced team and utilize modern estimating and project management software designed to streamline workflow and communication. This position includes a company vehicle and an above industry standard benefits package. We are willing to train the right individual who meets the requirements
Experience and licensure(s):
•Licensed Electrician•Valid Driver’s License•Osha 10 card•MA Journeyman’s Electrical License with the ability and willingness to obtain a Master’s License
Additional qualifications:•Master Electrical Licenses MA•3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial/industrial projects•Commercial and Industrial estimating experience•Ability to work closely with Customers/ General Contractors to design a project to meet their needs while operating within the project budget.•Familiar and competent in estimating software use•Able to work and communicate with Engineers and Architects regularly and respectfully•Have the ability to work with distributors efficiently.
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to
- Prepare cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or services to aid management in bidding on or determining the price of products or services
- Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to accurately prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
- Confer with clients, vendors, internal personnel, engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency with estimating software (Plan Swift, EBM, and Onscreen takeoff) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and specifications
