7th Grade Special Education Teacher
For the 2025-2026 School Year

7th Grade Special Education Teacher – 1.0 Full-Time.
Position to begin August 25th, 2025. DESE licensed Special Education Teacher for students with
Moderate Disabilities, grades 5-12. Teacher to work with students in the middle school at MTRS.
Experience Preferred:
● Working in small groups and 1:1, both inside and outside general education classrooms, to
deliver IEP services in math, reading comprehension, writing, and executive functioning skills
● Collaboration with grade-level teams and related service providers to support students’
academic and social-emotional growth
● Design of data-driven IEP goals in academic skill areas, and delivery of evidence-based,
specially designed instruction in those areas
● Regular progress monitoring of, and reporting on, academic growth
● Attend and effectively participate in IEP meetings. Collaboration on Child Study Teams as
needed.
● Collaboration with grade-level, general education teachers in ELA, math, science, and social
studies classes to effectively include students with disabilities in those settings.
● Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). Collaboration with math and reading
interventionists.
● Background or training in multisensory, language-based instruction.
● Previous experience with elementary reading programs, or other types of specially designed
instruction that are direct, structured, sequential, and diagnostic.
