Grade 7 ELA Teacher – 1.0 FTE 

Position description: Mohawk Trail Regional School is currently seeking a Certified English Language Arts & Literacy educator with experience in project-based learning to teach Grade 7. The ideal candidate will:

Have an appreciation of the strengths and needs of the middle school child.
Have a  commitment to equity, inclusion, and restorative practices 
Have experience in using  the Wit and Wisdom ELA curriculum, and will participate in related PD
Have experience in differentiating instruction within the classroom to allow all learners to be successful
Have an interest in continuing to develop outdoor classroom practices and utilize our unique setting 
Recognize the importance of promoting cross-curricular and “real-life” connections.
Collaborate with the Grade 7 & 8 teachers to provide students with a personalized Advisory experience
Use data to support pedagogy
In addition to teaching, take on the role of Advisor to a group of 10-12 students and help support Student-Led-Conferences twice a year
